Max Bartoli (CEO & Co-founder)
Italian, but resident in London, he has graduated in Law from the L.U.I.S.S. (Libera Università degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli) in Rome, and published two books "Axwana, Escape to the Fourth Dimension" (1988) and "Agartha and the Challenge of the Five" (1990) at the age of 17 and of 20 respectively, therefore remaining the youngest published writer in Europe up through June 2000. Since 1997, he has been co-writing several TV formats for Italian television ("Metropolis", "Dance Fever", "Nyou Star").
From the same year up to 2001, he worked as a marketing communication consultant for British and American Marpet Consulting Ltd, Music Events International Ltd, and ILG Inc. In 2002 he was one of the founders of Enlighten Pictures, a British production company specializing in the production of corporate and institutional videos and TV commercials. Under his leadership and thanks to an aggressive and innovative strategy, one year later Enlighten Pictures had become the Video Production division of "Rotella and Partners SpA", one of Italy's largest advertising companies which bought the majority of the company in April 2004. Directly following that he formed MaXaM Productions, another production company based in the UK . He wrote, directed and produced two series of new historical documentaries: "Time Travelers", "Postcard From The Past", as well as the award winning "IGNOTUS", a short film set in XIII century Italy. With MaXaM, Bartoli is now working on two feature films and on the production of a third series of documentaries.
Peter A. Teale (Director of Business Development)
Born Southport, England. Educated at Rossall School, Fleetwood and Birmingham University before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.
Co-produced the short film “Ignotus”, winner of the best international short film at the New York independent film festival (2006) and best foreign language short at the San Fernando Valley international film festival (2007).
In theatre, produced with Paul Savident and Joe Harmston the New York off-Broadway productions of “Beau Brummel” and “Cooking for Kings”, and co-produced in Italy with Compagnia della Rancia the major tours of “West side story” and “Grease”.
Peter was head of Finance of the sports and interactive division of Granada Media which produced and developed television sports programmes for ITV as well as some of the world’s leading sports websites. He is currently Director of Finance and new media for the History Press, the UK’s leading local and specialised history publisher.
Marco Bartoli (Chief Financial Officer & Co-founder)
Marco Bartoli is the co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of MaXam
Productions, Ltd. Together with Max Bartoli, Marco is also the
general partner and co-founder of a hedge fund, which specializes in
undervalued marketable securities. Marco has formerly worked for
General Electric, America Online, Inc. and Bank One, where he led
strategic market research initiatives, which were critical to the
development of multi-million dollar new product lines, advertising
campaigns, branding and marketing strategies. He received a Bachelor
of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University and
graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Ethan Marten (Director of Business Development of MaXaM Productions USA LLC)
Co-Founder of Rex Motion Media and in Post-Production for Virginia-based Reality Television Series Tanners Point, Ethan Marten spent most of his professional life in showbiz; first as an actor and later producing and executive producing shorts, features, and TV formats. He first started working behind the camera in 1988 with Craig and Mark Fincannon on Buzz Kulick’s Too Young the Hero. He has since worked in front of or behind the camera with LUCAS FILMS, HOLLYWOOD PICTURES, DISCOVERY CHANNEL, FAMILY CHANNEL, NEW DOMINION PICTURES, and NASA.
Marten was Atlantic Film Studios VP of Marketing - Virginia’s first full-service motion picture studio - and of Atlantic Entertainment Inc., distributor of such films as What Ever Happened To..? starring Lynn and Vanessa Redgrave, In The Deep Woods, starring Anthony Perkins, and Our Sons, starring Hugh Grant, Julie Andrews and Ann-Margret. Ethan has also been the Artistic Director of Norfolk’s award winning 2nd Story Theatre, Producer/Co-Founder ONSTAGE Magazine, Virginia based arts and entertainment, as well as of Star Circle Pictures for which he produced the award winning shortfilms Samaritan, Revolver and Player’s Joy.
As an Actor Mr. Marten has worked with Harry Dean Stanton , Frank Langella, Academy Award winners Jason Robards, Piper Laurie, Jose Ferrer and Whoopi Goldberg. He has also been featured as Irving Berlin in George Lucas’s Young Indiana Jones Chronicles for ABC Television and in the Hollywood Pictures film Eddie.
Alessio Di Capua (Program Distributor)
Resident in the UK since 1988, Alessio di Capua is a program distributor with extensive International Television and Video experience. He has a track record in setting up co-productions and in the pre-sale and sale of factual and reality programs to all major broadcasters in North & Latin America, UK & Europe, Australasia, Middle East and Africa. More recently he has brokered deals for the exploitation of content on mobile telephones.
Alessio's passion for the broadcasting business started nearly 20 years ago with a Masters in Business Administration, where his dissertation was on the financial management of film companies. With an embedded business sense and a strong grasp of the profit dynamics behind distribution, he has nine years of successful deal making experience. Fluent in three European languages, Alessio is a truly international businessman. His offering is to partner with his client's company and work together to create opportunities, develop businesses and conclude deals. Whether discussing a licence fee for a television show or an advance and royalty for a video program, he will always ensure a win-win situation between the parties involved.
